Loughborough P.S.
Wastewater Treatment System Upgrade
As part of the Limestone District School Board Wastewater Treatment System Upgrade Project, Groundwork Engineering provided engineering services for the replacement of the effluent dispersal bed, one septic tank and one pump chamber at Loughborough PS in Sydenham. The system services both the public and high school with an average daily flow of 35,000 L. This was the tenth Wastewater Treatment System that Groundwork Engineering completed for the school board.

Camp Kennebec
Wastewater Treatment System
Camp Kennebec is a summer camp for children and teens that required the replacement of their ageing wastewater treatment system. The design of the new system needed to service multiple buildings over challenging terrain. The system utilized pumped and gravity solutions to convey the wastewater to a Level IV treatment facility with nitrogen reduction and an effluent dispersal bed.

The Opinicon
The Opinion is a historical landmark along the Rideau Canal and has existed for more than 100 years. After new owners purchased it in 2013, the resort underwent extensive development and improvements which included new wastewater facilities.

Stinson Fuels Retaining Wall, Napanee
In the summer of 2018, Stinson Fuels built a new gas station on Community Road in Napanee. This location was a prime choice due to its close proximity to Highway 401. However, the site had a dramatic elevation change requiring a 5.80 m (19 ft) geogrid reinforced retaining wall.

Port Picton is a waterfront community built on the banks of Picton Harbour. The development has several grade changes and required multiple retaining walls.

Rideau Canal Waterfront Path
As part of the improvements to the waterfront trail in Ottawa, Groundwork Engineering Limited was asked to design a new retaining wall for the pedestrian walkway located under the Bank Street overpass along the Rideau River. The wall was built in the 100-year flood plain and had complex hydrostatic loading requirements.
